More Free Easter Events

Last weekend's weather was hardly worthy of an Easter egg hunt but hopefully we'll get lucky and have a snow-free Easter week!

Details are always subject to change so please check websites/call ahead before piling the kiddos in the car.

10th Annual Easter Hat Parade
Capitol Kids (8 S. Carroll St., Madison)

Get your hat out of the closet or find your chapeau. Children and their playful adults are welcome to celebrate spring by parading around the Capitol Building in hats and bonnets. This year the day before Easter is late and we will be sharing the Capitol Square with the Farmers' Market so it should be especially fun. The festivities start at 10:30 at Capitol Kids, and culminate with the kid focused parade at noon. Highlights include hat making workshops, animal friend visits from A-Z Farm and a parade staring you!

Kid's Spring Celebration at the Great Dane!
The Great Dane (
123 E. Doty Street, Madison)

Our Annual Egg Hunt has relocated this year, and with a twist! Join us between 10am and 1pm in the Pool Hall for face painting, balloon sculpting, a caricaturist, and possibly more! As always, free of charge!

I believe the other Great Dane locations are also having a celebration but the information was not on their website.
